Cardboard Creations Program Beginners Class: Turn everyday cardboard into fun, functional crafts! Join us for a hands-on program where creativity meets sustainability. Kids will learn how to transform old cardboard boxes into toys, animals, decorations, and more. Whether you're building a habitat, crafting a 3-dimensional figure or more this workshop is all about imaginative reuse and eco-friendly fun.Program Details Dates: Thursdays 3/5 - 4/16 (no session 3/26) Times and Grades: 5:00-6:00pm: Gr. 3-4/6:15-7:15pm: Gr. 5-8                                    Cost: $75 Location: Rockland Community Center 394 Union St. Rockland What to Bring:We will provide all materials! First:We will work to get familiar with the cutting machines. Students will take turns cutting various shapes- sharp angles, rounded edges, circles, and cut out holes.They will then cut out shaped to create a hinging snake sculpture.Next: We will work on assembling 3-dimensional slat creatures. The students will have several templates to choose from, or they could create their own. They will trace, cut out and assemble their creatures. Then:Students will create a habitat. They will use their imagination to create a space. Kids’ Test Kitchen is on a mission to get all eaters cooking, tasting, and thinking about healthy ingredients! Let’s continue to redefine kid food; one lesson, and one student at a time!Each class presents students with an opportunity to explore new or familiar foods in their raw, unmanipulated state. Then, working as a team, we’ll slice, dice, peel, measure, and cook until we’ve prepared the finished dish. Lessons are planned to celebrate seasonal produce, whole grains, and legumes. As theweather cools – we see less “bounty” in-season. But make no mistake – Kids’ Test Kitchen is on it – bringing you comforting dishes that pack a punch! Sweet Potato, Garbanzo beans, and quinoa, are a few of our focal ingredients this time of year.Each session arrives with fresh new recipes and ideas to inspire your healthy eater!Kids have food allergies, but they shouldn’t miss out on the fun. Cardboard Creations Program Beginners Class: Turn everyday cardboard into fun, functional crafts! Join us for a hands-on program where creativity meets sustainability. Kids will learn how to transform old cardboard boxes into toys, animals, decorations, and more. Whether you're building a habitat, crafting a 3-dimensional figure or more this workshop is all about imaginative reuse and eco-friendly fun.Program Details Dates: Thursdays 3/5 - 4/16 (no session 3/26) Times and Grades: 5:00-6:00pm: Gr. 3-4/6:15-7:15pm: Gr. 5-8                                    Cost: $75 Location: Rockland Community Center 394 Union St. Rockland What to Bring:We will provide all materials! If you wanted have your child bring any clean carboard boxes or any fun extra stickers, string, buttons etc.!Why Join? Encourage creativity and problem-solving Learn about recycling and sustainability Have fun building cool stuff with others Take home your own cardboard masterpiece! First:We will work to get familiar with the cutting machines. Students will take turns cutting various shapes- sharp angles, rounded edges, circles, and cut out holes.They will then cut out shaped to create a hinging snake sculpture.Next: We will work on assembling 3-dimensional slat creatures. The students will have several templates to choose from, or they could create their own. They will trace, cut out and assemble their creatures. Then:Students will create a habitat. They will use their imagination to create a space.
