CinemaKidz: Creative Filmmaking & Adventures in Animation - Creative Filmmaking Creative Filmmaking & Adventures in Animation Grades K-5Lights, Camera, Action! Become a Director, Actor, Cinematographer, and Editor at CinemaKidz. Utilizing professional equipment and technology, kids will work together and learn how to use cameras, audio equipment, and editing software, while creating completely original video projects. Kids will get creative as they try their hand at various special effects techniques: building props, combining claymation and live-action video, experimenting with the potential of green screens, practicing various camera tricks, utilizing stock videos, video filters, and much more! Participants will learn how to make movies from start to finish as they plan, write, film, act in, and edit an original project together. We offer after school classes, birthday parties, summer and vacation camps, weekend workshops and free events throughout the city. Filmmaking is such an amazing all-encompassing process. Children who take our classes often realize passions they never knew existed. We work closely with every student to help them discover what they love about filmmaking. We see movie making as a means to explore the world around us in a hands-on exciting way. Our classes are interdisciplinary in their design; several include building, robotics, historical research and critical thinking skills, writing, art, engineering, and more.Please Read:

Online registration & payment is the quickest and easiest way to secure a spot in a program. Registration is also accepted in our office and by mail on a first-come first-served basis.
Refunds: There will be a $10 processing fee for all refunds/credits and all requests must be made at least 5 business days prior to the start of the program.Age Requirement: Participants must be the minimum age for the program or turn that age within the first week of the program.Confirmations: Please keep a record of your registration. Confirmations are emailed as soon as your registration is processed; no further confirmations or reminders are provided.We ensure the safety of all participants in our programs. Therefore we hold the right to decline/remove any child from any program provided that the child is: 1)Potentially putting themselves at risk of injury, 2) Potentially putting others at risk of injury through their actions, or 3) Blatantly disregarding proper safety rules as set forth by the instructor of the program.
