Beat Builders
The Beat Builders Lab is a super fun, hands-on course where young musicians and tech enthusiasts learn to become digital music producers by composing, recording, and mixing their own original hits using professional digital tools (DAWs). Students will learn to become a Beat Master by creating catchy rhythms, programming electronic drums, and building solid basslines, and then explore musical structure to compose full original songs in various genres. The course provides Tech Superpowers, giving students hands-on experience recording voices and layering instruments, and teaching them to Mix Like a Pro. No prior instrument experience is necessary—just an imagination ready to rock, ensuring that every child leaves the course with a portfolio of their own finished, ready-to-share songs.

About CinemaKidz:
Cinemakidz is a Brooklyn-based youth arts STEAM educational program, offering children ages 5 -15 the opportunity to explore the world of movie-making in an engaging and interdisciplinary manner. We offer after school classes, birthday parties, summer and vacation camps, weekend workshops and free events throughout the city. Filmmaking is such an amazing all-encompassing process. Children who take our classes often realize passions they never knew existed. We work closely with every student to help them discover what they love about filmmaking. We see movie making as a means to explore the world around us in a hands-on exciting way. Our classes are interdisciplinary in their design; several include building, robotics, historical research and critical thinking skills, writing, art, engineering, and more.

Registration & Refund Information
Registration: Student is only considered registered (and spot reserved) in a program once payment is received. Online registration & payment is the quickest and easiest way to secure a spot in a program. Registration is also accepted in our office and by mail on a first-come first-served basis.
Refunds: There will be a $10 processing fee for all refunds/credits and all requests must be made at least 5 business days prior to the start of the program. All credits applied to accounts will be good up to one year and can be used for any Rockland Recreation program.
Age Requirement: Participants must be the minimum age for the program or turn that age within the first week of the program.
Confirmations: Please keep a record of your registration. Confirmations are emailed as soon as your registration is processed; no further confirmations or reminders are provided.
We ensure the safety of all participants in our programs. Therefore we hold the right to decline/remove any child from any program provided that the child is: 1)Potentially putting themselves at risk of injury, 2) Potentially putting others at risk of injury through their actions, or 3) Blatantly disregarding proper safety rules as set forth by the instructor of the program.
