Girls running track race/marathon
Come join the Summer Runners Club!

Coach Mark Ewell will be facilitating our Grade 1-4 Runners Club.

Coach Kara Penney will be facilitating our Grade 5-7 Runners Club. 

Backround: 
Kara is the Track & Cross Country Coach for Rockland High School, a former Rockland High School three sport student athlete, focusing predominantly on Track and field.  She is a Westfield State graduate with a degree in History and secondary education. While at Westfield she was a three season cross country and track and field runner. Kara teaches at Rockland High School and have been a volunteer coach for the Rockland High School cross country and Track and Field teams. 

Accomplishments:
Team Captain HS and College, Qualified for State and Regional tournaments in multiple running events, Multiple League Champion in HS and College.  She is currently the Rockland High School Track Coach.

1st-4th grade (Coach Ewell)
This summer program will be for 1 hour, 3 days a week. This program will introduce dynamic and static stretching to teach athletes how to take care of their bodies. As well as introduce running techniques to help improve athletes speed, agility and endurance. Look forward to scavenger hunts, spirit week, color wars. This is a great opportunity for kids to get active and move for an hour a day as well as get in shape and ready for whatever fall sport they will be participating in! (mileage will get up to 10-20 miles a week)

5th-7th grade (Coach Penney)
This summer program will be for 1 hour, 3 days a week. This program will focus on dynamic and static stretching to keep athletes' bodies healthy. As well as focusing on improving running techniques to help improve athletes speed, agility and endurance. It will involve both endurance and speed workouts to get athletes in shape and ready for their fall season. Look forward to scavenger hunts, color wars, and spirit weeks. (mileage will get up to 20-30 miles a week)

- a loss of taste or smell  

Registration & Refund Information
Registration: Student is only considered registered (and spot reserved) in a program once payment is received. Online registration & payment is the quickest and easiest way to secure a spot in a program. Registration is also accepted in our office and by mail on a first-come first-served basis.
Refunds: There will be a $10 processing fee for all refunds/credits and all requests must be made at least 5 business days prior to the start of the program. All credits applied to accounts will be good up to one year and can be used for any recreation program. 
Age Requirement: Participants must be the minimum age for the program or turn that age within the first week of the program.
Confirmations: Please keep a record of your registration. Confirmations are emailed as soon as your registration is processed; no further confirmations or reminders are provided.
We ensure the safety of all participants in our programs. Therefore we hold the right to decline/remove any child from any program provided that the child is: 1)Potentially putting themselves at risk of injury, 2) Potentially putting others at risk of injury through their actions, or 3) Blatantly disregarding proper safety rules as set forth by the instructor of the program.
