Esports with GG Leagues - Gaming League

We are looking for gamers!!!

RYC has teamed up with GG Leagues and other area recreation departments to bring you this fun competitive Esport League. 
GG Leagues has referee's, monitors and managers for each game to ensure fair play.  There is a monitored chat room to meet other players to discuss games or play.  

In this league individuals will register for game specific league to compete weekly against opponent's with in the town and other area recreation departments.  You will notice this league had two divisions, Elementary grades 3-5 and Middle & High School grades 6-12.  If you have any questions you can contact the Rockland Youth Commission youth@rockland-ma.gov or GGLeagues by emailing them at support@ggleagues.com.

REQUIRED necessary equipment:
Players must own the gaming console which the game they are registering for is played on.
Players must own the specific game (hard copy/or digital download.
Players need an Internet connection to play the games online.
Players need to have the online gaming account (ie, Playstation Plus)
You also will need to register with GG Leagues Gaming Systems for an online account. This information will be sent to registered participants.
Optional: A gaming headset to communicate with their teammates/opponents

ADDITIONAL LEAGUE DETAILS
- These are the same details for all the leagues. This winter season will last 5 weeks of regular play with 1 week of playoffs (6 weeks total). 
- Regular season games will last up to an hour.
- For the playoffs, the top 4 teams will play a single elimination playoff bracket. Playoffs typically run for 3 hours for the winning teams, so please plan accordingly.
PLEASE NOTE FOR ALL GAMES: 
All organized, online, competitive game play is scheduled weekly through this GG Leagues System. Through this system, all players will be able to see and access the league bracket, submit their scores, report wins/losses and will need to upload a screen shot of the endgame score report.

REGISTRATION WITH GGLEAGUES REQUIRED 
PLEASE READ: Once players are registered for a specific league through Arlington Recreation, they will need to then need to create an account and register through GGLeagues as well. No fee is associated with the GGLeagues registration. League CODE NEEDED in order to register through GGLeagues, please see steps below:
 
Individuals will need to complete the following steps in order to complete registration with GGLeagues:
 -  Following registration through ROCKLAND RECREATION, families will be emailed a registration receipt. Once this receipt is emailed, the LEAGUE SPONSOR CODE will be listed in the notes section. Please reference this code as you will it in order to complete the GGLeagues registration.

-Create an account on GGLeagues platform: www.ggleagues.com

Your gamer name in GGLeagues should be the same online gaming name you use on your specific gaming system.

- Create a team at www.ggleagues.com/teams/new. A team is needed even if you are playing in a single player league. This can be entered as anything. Please note for (1 v 1) games, you will still need to create a team. Individuals can only join existing teams in leagues that are (2 v 2) or more.

- Register for the league you would like to participate in: https://app.ggleagues.com/organization/rockland

We will cross reference registrations. Please only register for the specific league(s) which you have previously registered for through Arlington Recreation)
