Hartsuff Park Chipmunk Program

This very popular half-day"Chipmunk" program is geared towards children 3, 4 & 5 year olds going into Kindergarten. The activities planned will provide directives in the areas of physical play, arts & crafts, and swimming.  All daily backpacks should include the following clearly marked items: bathing suit, sunscreen, water shoes, towel, a nutritious snack, drink and water bottle. The program will be under the direction of experienced staff.  Please fill out the attached form below and return it to the Youth Commission Office at 394 Union St. Rockland.  

CAMP WEEKS:
Week 1: June 25-28  - Welcome Week 
Week 2: No Chipmunks
Week 3: Jul 9-12  - Mustache Week 
Week 4: Jul 16-19 - Emoji Week 
Week 5: Jul 23-26 - Neon Week 
Week 6: July 30- Aug 2  - Under the Sea
Week 7: Aug 6-9 - Disney/Pixar Week 
Week 8: Aug 13-16 - Home Town Week 

*Please note:  There is no program  the week of July 2nd.
 
What to bring:
- Bathing Suit & Water shoes
- Towel
- Bug Spray & Sunscreen
- Wear Sneaker NO OPEN TOE SHOES
- Snacks, Reusable Water Bottle with Name and Lunch (Lunch is available if the children would like.  It is provided by    a grant program called Picnic in the Park.  We will do our best to send you a menu a head of time) 
Program Hours: 9am-1:00pm. 
Location: Hartsuff Park Recreation Area (off of Hingham Street)
Registrations: All registrations must be made in advance in order to provide adequate staffing.
Enrollment: limited; staff to participant ratio is 1:7. All children must be completely toilet trained.

T-Shirts: Registrations by 6/5/18  - will be guaranteed there size. Registrations after that date can not be guaranteed the exact size.  Also if you did not answer the question of what size shirt your child will take then we can not guarantee a size. 

Swimming Lessons: Swimming lessons are included in the cost of the Chipmunk Program.  Please indicate on the question asked if you would like your child to participate in the lessons.  

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- A copy of your child's birth certificate is required with your paperwork
- Rainy Days are held at the Community Center which is 394 Union St.
- Extended morning hours are available 7:30am - 9:00am 
- Please provide a copy of your child's Birth Certificate and Health Form (The one you give  to school is fine)

T-Shirts: Registrations by 6/5/17  - will be guaranteed there size. Registrations after that date can not be guaranteed the exact size.  Also if you did not answer the question of what size shirt your child will take then we can not guarantee a size. 

Extended Hours:  

7:30am-9am for an additional fee of $7/morning. The staff to child ratio will not exceed 1:10. Children are divided into age groups overseen by the camp director, counselors and waterfront staff. Activities offered include archery, softball, whiffleball, volleyball, basketball, flag/touch football, board and field games, hiking, swimming and arts & crafts.

Please Print and fill out the attached Summer Camp Authorization Form and mail or bring it back to the Youth Commission with a copy of your child's Birth Certificate and immunization health form (the one you send to school).

Payment: 
Payment must be received no later then the Wednesday at noon time prior to the start of the following week.  If we do not receive payment then your child will not be considered registered for the week.  If you have a balance owed from the previous year you will not be considered register till you pay off the balance.  

Registration & Refund Information
 
Registration: Student is only considered registered (and spot reserved) in a program once payment is received. Online registration & payment is the quickest and easiest way to secure a spot in a program. Registration is also accepted in our office and by mail on a first-come first-served basis.


Refunds: There will be a $10 processing fee for all refunds/credits and all requests must be made at least 5 business days prior to the start of the program.

Age Requirement:
 Participants must be the minimum age for the program or turn that age within the first week of the program.


Confirmations:
 Please keep a record of your registration. Confirmations are emailed as soon as your registration is processed; no further confirmations or reminders are provided.


We ensure the safety of all participants in our programs. Therefore we hold the right to decline/remove any child from any program provided that the child is: 1)Potentially putting themselves at risk of injury, 2) Potentially putting others at risk of injury through their actions, or 3) Blatantly disregarding proper safety rules as set forth by the instructor of the program.
